What part is the fire in? I usually take the wife to Bonaparte Lake for deer season but I called them the other day after hearing about a fire by Bonaparte. The lady said it must be Canada somewhere as she hadn' t heard a thing around their area.

] To give you an idea it is about 1-1/2 times the distance from Bonaparte to Republic.
Last I heard it was 3 miles east of Danville-1/ 2 mile from the border. That was Monday' s Info.,so I imagine Wayne is right about it crossing the border by now.
I am cocerned about it' s southerly and easterly borders and behaviors -not that I have no concerns onthe other fronts - but thats my normal deer huntin' area.

Was up at the fire camp today....asked 10 people about the fire.....got 10 different reply' s[X(]. I know that at the morning briefing today...they said it would be at least another 2 week' s if everything goes well. I' m sure that was including the mop up.

] Thanks Wayne1,Iwill keep digging and see what I can come up with. Nasa came out with thier update on rocky mountain fires, but it was centered about 25 miles too far east to see it. I' ll try to link that site later- if I remember right WWW.nasa/natural hazards/fire/ idaho thats all I can remember -thanks again-Jim[:-]

I know one thing. Wind shifted today and all of Wenatchee looks like Los Angeles during an inversion! Man, it' s smoky here today! Nice though as it kept temps around 80 degrees all day (vs. 100 like all summer).
