Hi,
First of all I am a student at OSU and I don't have too much time to scout as I will be starting school soon. Just trying to get a better idea is all, Thanks!
I was wondering if anyone had any ideas about where the elk would be or what would be a good place to start looking for them in the Strawberry wilderness/East murders creek unit.
I was able to draw a muzzle-loader tag this year. I just got back from scouting that unit as it was my first time ever hunting in that unit. I saw no elk once so ever though I only spent one full day there as I spent most of my days scouting in Ukiah for the rare bucks in there nowadays haha.
Just wondering if anyone had any tips of where to look I am more than willing to put in the work. I looked at topo-maps and found there are lots of trails out there to walk into...maybe I should stay on trails or walk around all the numerous meadows?
Thanks for your time!
Adam
