I just moved to Craig, CO not to long ago and dont no anyone out here really and was wondering if somone on here could tell me a few things about hunting around here.

I went to school in Rangely and now live in NH. I've hunted unit 21/22 and am looking to come out next year for either elk or muley. Not sure if we are coming out for rifle or bow. I've traveled the area a bit. Might be able to put you in touch with a guy i know in Craig. He hunts a ton. Good luck out there.

Welcome and some good advise for rifle seasons, DUCK! You'll see why... That is a good area for hunting and you have plenty to do.

Get a map of public lands, select a location, get a topo map of the selection and scout two weeks before season. Scout it out realy well without disturbing the animals, do it as if you where hunting. The rest of the info about how to be sucsessfull is at www.publiclandforthepoorman.com
