Hawaii
Hey guys...New to the forum...Anyone have any experience hunting in Hawaii, specifically the Big Island? Our family just relocated here earlier this summer. We absolutely love everything here, except I am really struggling not having whitetails to chase. Pigs are everywhere, along with various goats and sheep. We even have a decent population of Turkeys and upland game birds...Anyone on here have any experience with hunting the Big Island? I'm getting the itch really bad to get the bow out and chase some game...Its definitely not the same as the Midwest, where we moved from.

I've hunted on Parker Ranch back in the early 80's. A few pheasants and ran across a boar and once in Pohakuloa for franklin. I don't know if they still let you hunt there but we ran across several large boars. Back then, Molokai and Lanai had a decent population of axis deer. We had access to Molokai ranch which I believe not available now but wouldn't hurt to ask. Axis deer size is about the same as mule deer but have only 3 points a side.
