Colorado & Wyoming Residents, I need some info on your laws.

I have a son whowith a buddy plans to head to Wyoming for a couple days to try calling coyotes and then drop down into Colorado to backpack in some national forests(late July). He knows he needs a current hunter safety certificate, but does he need a license to hunt coyote in Wyoming? The second question is, in Colorado is it legal for him to carry a sidearm (he has a S&W 460) without a hunting license if its just for protection? He is not a felon and its registered. But he's a Non-Resdient to your state.
