Just got back from 2nd season with 7 buck hunters and only 1 connected. Most deer were high due to the weather but it just snowed. Also I noticed the deer weren't out in the mornings or evening like most other times. I think it has something to do with the pine bugs. I have noticed alot more grassy areas in the timber now that the bugs are killing most of the trees. Also there is a lot more coyotes than I can ever remember. I might have to get out the 22-250 this winter. Jovan

no second tag filled this year. WAY too hot down here in CA and the pre-rut has not started yet so the bucks stayed down in the buttom of the canyons and were not out and about.

Got mine two weeks ago in Eastern Washington. 4 X 3 and I'm enjoying the sausage now. Muzzle load season.
