help, im new to california

Im stationed in california and im originally from arkansas. There it was so easy to go hunting..and ive hunted all my live..while i know there is no whitetails here..could some please set me on the right path to hunting here in cali. Public spots..do landowners out here ever let you hunt for free..where is the best spot for blacktail and turkeys etc..

I'm in southern Ca, if you're stationed near me I can help get you started but there's a lot of hunters and very little productive public hunting land, I lived and hunted in Arkansas and theres no comparison,

We have alot of snows, but not as many ducks. it is more difficult i assume, then other states, but i will show you a couple of pics of some previous hunts:

you have got to get me on some turkeys..thats my favorite game to hunt..very challenging..the only thing is..here you have to hunt for them with a bow..in arkansas during the spring season..u get to use a shotgun..but im sure i can manage

you can use a shotgun on them in the spring and fall out here, unless if the land doesnt allow firearms. And dont expect our turkeys to be that smart, they are quite stupid i assure you lol
