Hey kirk are you or any of your buddys seeing any animals on the YTC I was over there scouting on friday and did not see any Elk lots of Mulys and Chucker though. I did find plenty of sign and could smell them at one of there watering holes. Just wondering if you have any local info?

Ryan, my buddy killed a 5pt friday in area 8 i think and anothe buddy missed a 4pt monday not sure what area he was in, there was about 5 cows and 2 spikes running with the 5pt What part did you check out. I think badger pocket might be a good area.. I think areas 7,8 and 1,2,3 are good. You get them coming off the hwy 24 side. I think it would be the south/east corner of the firing center.
Thats as bout as much i know.

kirk I scouted the areas around badger pocket I think that they are 1,2,3,16 I am planning on hunting over there on the 11th for the AHE hunt I will check out that side of the range where your buudy got his animal. I think that we just missed them on friday but not shure where they went there are so many draws and the ground is so dam hard they can be hard to follow.

Ya, theres a ton of draws for them to hide. get up on the ridges in your truck an walk over and look in the draws. Thats the best way. Ya i would check out the south east corner. There wont be a season out there then, muzzleloader ends the 10th. see any big mulies.

No big mulies i was kinda surprized at the body size that the deer over there have compaired to up north. I saw 1 3x3 but nothing to write home about and a couple of yearling bucks and plenty of does. they were all hanging out around the water up north. talked to one of my friends who has a place up in winthrop and he saw some realy nice bucks the other night just south of where East Chewack rd meets west. sould bee a great year up there. i will be flying solo on friday and sat on the opener well have to drink some beers and lie about big deer or something.

Hell ya, ill be in boulder crick thursday night about 7 probably. leaving work about 2. Friday i plan on doing some scouting.

Not exactly sure where im hunting for the opener. probaly decide friday night.

Hey all hope all is well in Washington state sorry I haven't been on here as of late, been out of town for a couple of weeks and then hunting season is still going on, so far I have taken 6 deer 4 does and 2 button bucks, I have 2 more to go before the state of Maryland DNR stops counting and I can take unlimited deer.
