As I understand colorado has 4 rifle seasons, Out of the 4 which one is the better one to draw for as far as seeing numbers of elk?

rochelle, it really depends on the weather, to which season is best. You will see more people around the 1st and 3rd seasons, because the first season is for Elk only and they are either sex tags with little hunting pressure, & the 3rd season because the weather is usually worse with snow in the higher mountains. Hope this helps you some.

Our group likes to go the 3rd or 4th season. The snow usually moves more elk down to the private land we hunt. Last year we saw hundreds of elk.
