As far as numbers, Colorado. That is just fact. There is also good public access and easy tags for most of the state. I know that some other states boast bigger animals and it just matters what is important. I would really look at places to live first. Hunting in all those states are good. Lets get some other opinions too.

Tough decision. All three offer very good big game huntingfor several species. More elk in CO. More antelope in WY.
Good luck in your choose.I'll bet you love it no matter which ya choose.

I think Montana is a draw state or at least a good portion. I don't know that for sure so do not quote me. Idaho is OTC and fairly cheap. Last I heard it was around $100 for a deer, elk, bear, lion, and fishing tags.

Montana is a OTC for residents. There are draws for limited areas ie Missouri River Breaks. A Montana Resident can purchase an elk OTC and hunt in any open rifle unit.

With OTC, Montana maybe tops on the list. Plus good duck, deer, decent upland, and throw in the trout it is a goodall around state.
