You are in prime location nice. I have been hunting in 39m and 40a for rabbits , dove , ducks on private ponds , coyotesand snakes. I want to find a small cabin up north for deer and javalina, and maybe elk. anything you see up there would be appreciate. Thanks Rob

Man, you're in antelope country. Although, the biggest deer I ever laid eyes on was on the backside of Mingus Mountain about 10 years ago. I took a turkey in 3C several years ago but I never have hunted deer up there. Good luck wherever you go.

Yes sir, back before all the houses began popping up around my place there was a heard of antelope that would nest about 100 yards behind my house. but nowadays they are all being pushed further and further up mingus. I still see alot of nice mule deer and an occassional bear around my property. I went scouting yesterday evening and spotted a nice 5x5 muley I have an arrow in my quiver just itching to nail him.

No whitetail need to go south for them. I do see kitties from time to time. My buddy in snowflake has dogs he runs for cats so Im gonna get with him on that note and maybe take a cat this year. Ive got a new 30-30 load im itchin to try on something substantial. Im pushing a 110 grain soft point at around 2600 fps from the 30-30 I figured it would be a good one for mt lions.
