Well, with a re-draw it looks like we don't get our bull tags. Here are my interactions with F&G today.
Today I called 2 different numbers 2 times each for headquarters. I got two different answers each time.
I called F&G (902-2515) at 8:30 am and the girl that answered told me:
Her: Hello,….. how can I help you.
Me: Yes, I had a question about the permit drawing. Is the drawing messed up or going to be re-done?
Her: “the drawing is being validated and the results will be up by Friday”
Me: So, is there going to be a new drawing?
Her: uh, well, um, it is always a possibility.
Me: So are the results online going to change?
Her: It is possible.
Me: Ok, by.
Two minutes later I call Licensing (902-2464) and a guy answers the phone.
Him: This is ****, how can I help you.
Me: Morning, how’s it goin?
Him: Well it could be better.
Me: So I imagine you have already heard the question I am about to ask?
Him: Yes, and it won’t be the last time today.
Me: Is the drawing messed up?
Him: Yes.
Me: Are the results online all wrong?
Him: Yes, we have repeatedly asked Outdoor Central to block that information.
Me: Is there going to be a redraw?
Him: Yes. It looks like it. Some people’s elk points didn’t make it into the system.
Me: So is it just the elk portion or the whole drawing that is going to be redone?
Him: As of 4:30pm yesterday they were talking the whole drawing.
Me: So when will the results be done?
Him: Well we have to verify everything to make sure it is kosher. Optimistically by Monday.. That is very optimistic.
Me: Thanks, ya know it would be nice if we could see a blurb online about this so we don’t keep calling.
Him: We have asked up stairs to send out a press release numerous times this week, but they just won’t do it.
Me: All right, have a good day.
So, at 11:30 am I call back at the 2515 number and get the same girl.
Her: How can I help you?
Me: I want to talk to someone about the permit drawing.
Her: Yes, what I can I do.
Me: Oh, uh, I heard that the drawing was going to be re-run and I wanted to know if that was true?
Her: The drawing is being validated and they hope to have the results online soon.
Me: Really, ok, by.
At 3:45 pm I called the Licensing number (2464) again. After seeing the press release online.
Him: This is ####. (Poor guy sounded beat)
Me: Hi, I heard that there was a news release about the drawing being redone and I just wanted to check.
Him: Yes, the whole drawing is being redone. Some points weren’t included for some people. We are working on it right now.
Me: So the drawing should take place in a few days?
Him: It could take place in 10 minutes…or tomorrow.
Me: Ok, have a nice afternoon.
Him: (startled) Oh, ok, you too.
Then I get a reply to my email that I sent yesterday evening to them from the website ([email protected])
My email –
I want to know what the problem with Great Lodge/Outdoor Central is and when will we know the results?
Their reply –
Thank you for contacting the Department of Fish and Wildlife regarding the special hunt drawing. The drawing is currently still in process. As soon as the special hunt drawing is completed, it will be available on our website at http://wdfw.wa.gov/cgi-bin/shp_tmp/permit.cgi. If you have any further questions, comments, or concerns feel free to contact the Wildlife Program at 360-902-2515.

lol
No, not bored. I just wanted answers, then wanted to see if the answers would change. Actually took me less than 6 minutes total talk time.
The gal was as smart as a box of rocks, but the guy seemed to be concerned about the situation.
