RE: HUNTER ORANGE IS NO GOOD!
I read a study from some optometry school and the rusults were astounding. For a person looking oit was like 35 time greater likelihood that you will see another hunter. Elk, deer and other large game are colorblind so they see movements or shapes that are out of place. Birds see color so it's not good to wear birdhunting.
I am shocked it hasn't become mandatory for California yet. |
RE: HUNTER ORANGE IS NO GOOD!
it does not effect deer seeing you, it helps idiot hunters who shoot at any movement that happens to be a shade of brown/black. As far as bird hunting, it is required so that when your swinging on a bird, if your buddy is dressed in colors that match the brown grass...brown/black fields...and all of a sudden you see this bright orange object, it sends a "red flag" to your brain.
