I'd say Federal because I think the pattern is better and the BBs and power used are better sized and better packed. Just my 2 cents

Pick whatever gives you the best pattern out of your gun. I take it you're talking about steel. In that case it's the old chevy vs ford if they both pattern the same.

Most of the guides in my neck of the woods use ESTATE. They have proven very effective over the past several seasons and cost alot less than the brands you mentioned. However you have already gotten good advice--shoot what works in YOUR gun.

We shoot PMC 3" mag BBB. We buy several cases so we get a great deal on them at a local gun shop. They pattern good for us and we are very happy with their performance. But like everyone else has said you have to match your ammo to your gun. I don't shoot alot of 3 1/2", I haven't personnelly seen that much difference in the them, but I buy a few boxes every year, and I always get the winchester drylok, but I don't know why.

I like the Rem Express Steel. It preforms well for the price. The winchester shot to me, does not pattern as well but I like the wet lok that the offer because because i hunt wet most of the time!

Buy a box of which ever brand that you like and pattern them all...see what shoots best out of your gun!!
Good Luck~~~

I bought a case of 3 in Fiocchi 3 shot last year 1450 fps. I had never heard of them till I bought them. They were excellent patterning out of my 870 wingmaster. The first box I didn't do to well then started reducing my lead and actually cut the heads off some birds that were 35 to 40 yds. I have already bought another case for this year but was looking at Kent Fasteel and since they are supposed to be faster I may have to get a case of them also.

I'll be the Winchester supporter! But I also shoot a Winchester. They cycle fine and kill birds too. Plus those AA shells make good reloadable ammo.

Thats what I say ducksbucks. Win. just cycle better in my guns than Fed. do. But I do like kent fasteel, and Rem., and tungsten.
We shoot a lot of shells down here in South Arkansas and price starts to be a factor, and the kent fasteel shells are hard to beat buy the case.
p.s. You northern boy need to quit making those duck so shy buy the time they get to arkansas they have seen, and heard it all.
ha! ha!

Well now P-Tone if you are ewferring to me as the northern boy all I can say is I'll just pass it on. Please send me a few more breeding ducks back up here in the spring. Just enjoy this great sport as much as I do and hopefully there will always be ducks enough to go around. Good luck this fall.

I dont like federal or winnchester is steel....I use the Remintons when I know I'm gonna get wet ,but I prefer estates over any if I can keep them dry...They're not real waterproof....The estates seem to travel farther and hit harder than the other three for me...I was walking from a slough in the river bottoms and walked up on a 400 pound hog...I killed that piglet with #2 estates.........RKC

We wait till you can see their eyes. They all work the same at 15 yards. But for the record, I prefer the Drylocks because I am still finding shells in the boat when crappie fishing starts.

Winchester shells are far superior to federal. I find that Federals do not deliver enoufgh of a punch to bring down a goose where as I have complete confidencr in a Winchester shell to do the job.
