Default choke tube question

What is a good all around choke tube for a moss 835. I would be shooting , steel , heavy shot and bismuth . I don't want to have to switch for different shot if I can get away with it.

Chokes always depend on what you're doing and how far away you'll be shooting. The rule-of-thumb for the "happy medium" choke is modified.

In my 835 after patterning it. A Modified Carlsons choke pretty much stays in there.
I know there are some other quality chokes out there, but I tried Carlsons years ago and love them, they work and are consistant.

Steel patterns tighter than lead. Steel shot through a mod choke will print more like lead through a full choke.

Want mod pattern with steel? Put an Imp. Cylinder in your gun.

If your tube of choice is specifically marked for "hevi-stuff", then it should pattern as marked.

I have a kicks high flyer in my benelli m2 and I love it is a full choke and it can make some shots out a good ways and i destroy ducks in the spread too. I do not shoot some of the shells you are talking about but it shoots great with the loads I shoot.

I use a Patternmaster extended range, really works good, I never take it out!
