I am not really sure you are getting an accurate evaluation of your calling when done inside your vehicle.
Calls sound a lot different on the outdoors....
If you can borrow a video or sound recorder try to record while you mimic the sound while you are beside the geese somewhere outside in a park or a friends farm where geese are frequent.
When you hear both you and the geese on the playback on the same sound track you should have a better evaluation on how your call actually sounds compared to the geese. It doesn't have to sound very close or exact, but the rhythm should be close.
The important thing is keep your welcoming call just that and not to sound like when they are sounding the Alarm.....
I hope this helps.....

your call may not be tuned to its fullest capability. i was just messing with mine the other day and i got to to sound 1000000x better by moving the reed back just a little bit. not sure if this is your problem but its worth a shot.

What calls are you using ? Are you competing with other hunters ?

Google "Goose Communcation and calling" for a complete account of the calls geese use, and how you should use them. If you have questons, feel free to ask me here or e-mail me at [email protected].

God bless,

Remember that no two geese sound exactly alike, so goose calls do not need to sound exactly like you (or some expert) thinks they should sound. The main thing is is to use a call with the right tone, and use the proper timing of the call, along with using the right goose vocalization to get the geese to do what you want.

I YOU HAVE QUESTIONS- ASK ME. i ONLY HAVE 50 YEARS OF EXPERINCE CALLING WATERFOWL, 4 YEARS OF GOOSE RESEARCH, AND ABOUT 20 YEARS AS AN OUTFITTER AND GUIDE.
