Default A good shoot in the snow

Well we were set on some local state land very early expecting the worst. I figured there would be more guys there setting up. The race was on. I got there early and nobody showed. I had 1 dozen full body mallards and 18 fully flocked full body lessors. When I got to my spot I was supprised to find theat right where I was trying to setup was clear in a 40 yard circle. I am talking no snow all the way down to the cover crop. What a dream. I setup and the wait was on. We ended the day with a 4 man limit of canadas, 3 mallards, 2 shovlers and 14 snows. The snows worked us great. If I would have had a couple of snow goose flyers and dekes we would have hammered them. With all of the wind and snow blowing around they were flying very low and acting stupid. I had them sitting in the dekes @ 15 yards and they would just sit down and tuck their head and sleep. This happend multiple times. It was a long day and cold but it was a blast. My 870 even froze up. All the snow was blowing in and freezing. It would bring a second shell into the chamber. There is a first for everything!!!!
Have any of you ever shot a canada goose like this. This is a first for me. I guess he is mixed with somthing.

Nice ~ very nice and that sure is an unusual Canadian! But piebald can happen to any specie.

i have heard people call these Holsteins, like the milk cows. I have seen a couple with white on their feet and everything, but never one with a band across them. Very cool
