Slow Start in West Michigan
Well, our southern zone has opened and is under way. Very slow start for much of my areas. Many Canadas around but cannot get permission on the fields. The water has been disappointing thus far, but will get better in november and december.
Opening day, October 10th, never took off the saftey.
Sunday, October 11th, shooting wans't pretty. More birds around in this area than in the other. Mostly Woodies and and few local Mallards.
First trip on the new boat.
The day's take. Hen Woodie and a hen GWT.

Today, October 13, I found myself in a smiliar location. Not many birds, and the few that were around really didn't want to play. Had a pair of Woodies drop by, and neither left.

season in nor cal starts the 24th ive scouted probably 1000+ ducks and 1500-2000 alucian geese about 200 greaters a hand full of which are double banded. so opening day in eureka seems damn good
