What is the best shotgun in your opinion for under $600? I want an automatic but dont want a piece of junk. Either pump or auto would probably work. I'd be hunting ducks and geese and maybe turkey a few times.

Can't go wrong with the Remington 870 or Mossy 500. As for autos, try the Stoeger 2000 or the Franchi I-12. Maybe even an 11-87 like what I got.

Benelli Nova. Easiest gun to clean after a nasty day in the field. I've not had any problems other than having to tighten an action rod once. Works great now. Shoots so smooth.

pumps: Benelli Nova, or Browning BPS

autos: for your price ranged used Remington 1100, or if you can find one 1187, or you can get a new Mossberg 935, i have a few huntign partners that have shot them with no complaints

you cant go wrong with the ol cannoe paddel in my eyes (870) but the bps is also an awesome gun i have both but i lean to the 870 more for duck and goose hunting. and in my eyes if your going to buy one you might as well go big or go home but something like the super black eagle2 or a super x 3 but thats just what id do

You can pick up a Rem 11-87 at Gander Mt for right at 600.00 you can shoot it for about 10,000 rounds and then give it to your grandchildren.
