Default bib question

ok im new to duck hunting and was wondering how bibs work. do they cinch to the outside of your boots keeping water out? or are there water resistance only for rain. I know waders are a good way to go for getting through water but they are too expensive for me.

Default RE: bib question

Bibs will not keep you dry. They might be water risistant but they are not waterproof unless you buy some that are specifically so. Then they'll probably cost you the same as a cheap pair of waders. You can get a really nice pair of neoprene waders from BassPro for under $100. The canvas ones are even cheaper. Walmart sales the rubber waders even less. A set of insulated bibs that are waterproof will easily cost that much. Plus no, bibs dont attach to your boots to keep any water out.
