Default a new duck call

I am in the market now for a good call. I am looking at the RNT original and the Hunter Grounds back flapper.I like the back flapper a lot. What should I get?

I got both a Daisy cutter and original and both are awesome duck calls but my suggestion is blow every call you can and get the one that fits your'e style.

It depends on where you hunt mostly... I have the RNT shortbarrel because I hunt smaller swamps and beaver ponds, I don't need the loud ringing that the original gives you. Thats better suited for open water situations. The daisy cutter is also a good call but its harder to drive... takes more air. Like TN deer hunter said give a few a try, most stores will actually let you test some...

I got a RNT Timbre for Christmas and I LOVE it. It is a very controllable call and easy to tune. RNT makes some excellent calls and they make them for just about every hunting situation. Also check Echo, I have been very pleased with their calls as well.

I tend to favor the Echo line.... or should I say.... the Echo line favors me.

Gotta try em out. Everyone is made different and calls differently. Match your volume and pitch to your abilities and your hunting situation.

In the RNT line, I prefer the Short Barrel or the Daisy Cutter.... the DC is a good multi-purpose call. I typically hunt tidal marsh/tidal timber, or beaver swamps along rivers.
