Would this be illegal?
I had an idea for hunting geese in a field the other day and was wondering if it would be illegal or not. Here in Oklahoma, the fields are huge and often there is no cover where you can sneak up on them. Most of the time they are 100 yards out from the trees. Anyways, I was wondering about using my slingshot to shoot a small firecracker out past the geese to scare them in my direction. Is this illegal? I can't find anything about it in my waterfowl regulations. Thanks for any info! Matt

lol...An idea I would have never thought of in a million years, but could work if done right. I guess it would be legal.

RE: Would this be illegal?
I would like to see someone sling shot a firecracker 100 yds. I have some property I hunt geese on and I cannot use decoys. So the day before, I go and see were the geese are feeding. I get there before day break and get down wind of the area they were feeding. Cover up with the same surroundings if possible. If the geese come in, let the first group land, that away the other groups behind the first group will see it's safe and should fly low and right over you. 9 out of 10 times this seems to work. This usually works for regular season. Now for the special season, that's a different ball game.
