new to birds here. I am going friday morning and picked up 2 boxes of #4 steel 2 3/4 shells. Is this a good shot? What shot do u recommend. I will be using either a stevens 311 sxs 12 ga. or a stevens 58 12 ga. w/ 2 shot clip, bolt action. thanks

I prefer #2 or #3 shot, on ducks, and BB for Geese, but #4 will do just fine for ducks. Just make sure you aren't shooting over 25-30 yards to help avoid cripples.
