RE: 1400FPS winchester
I'm not sure what the article above says because the IT guys downstairs are a bunch of liberals and won't let us on any gun/shooting related websites. However, I use 1400 fps loads with #4 shot for shooting crows. It knocks them down with no problem. Feathers are always intact and it is usually a one-shot deal. I have found the effective range of these shells to be similar to other shells, about 25 - 30 yards. However, #2 shot flying at 1400 fps may be a little much for woodies. It'll knock 'em down no question, but it may tear them up a little bit if you're looking for a mount. Just my opinion. I have a buddy that shoots 3.5 inch BB at everything from Canadas to Woodies, so in the end it comes down to your preference. I generally use 3 inch, #3 loads, 1250 fps (I think)for wood ducks - all ducks for that matter.

This article talks about Bismuth Cartridge Company. Does anybody know what happened to them? I don't think they exist anymore.

As of now the company has not been sold
Also no ammo or shot is being produced
Rummers are saying , Bismuth shot and ammo will soon be coming in from France or Italy
