Yessir... this season my room will have ducks all over it hopefully (that is if the choke i have doesn't mess up the birds too much). Just curious; where did yall shoot those things? I need to know where to look. I've seen one on the lake last year, but he was way out of range. I NEED to get one in my sights :D

The lake I got mine at was on public land, about 3 miles back from the last dirt road. Had to two-track it in and hoof it about 400 yards. The lake itself was big for around here, maybe.4mile by .4mile with islands all over. The lake didn't get deeper than 7 foot all the way around. Don't see many ducks, but it is beautiful when the key right in on your spread. They come in like wildfire.

Nice looking ducks. It would cost me around £80 to get one mounted.

Awesome thanks man ;)The flyway i live on holds vital habitat for mallards, ring-necks, greenwinged teal, sprigs, and wood ducks. Although, I've never seen a sprig in my life down here. I'm also gonna try and mount a woodie this year. I won't have any trouble with that though... theres more wood ducks than anything where im at.

Do you get Eider, Gadwall, Goldeneye, Garganey, Goosander, Long tailed duck, Mandarin, Pintail, Pochard, Red breasted merganser, Ruddy duck, Scuap, Shelduck, Shovler, Smew, Tufted duck, Velvet Scoter, Wigeon, and the obvious Mallard
Just focusing on ducks but we get a load of different geese here too. I can hunt the above but I would like to mount a woodie when i get back over to the US. The woodie reminds me of the mandarin duck. |

Oh yeah we've a huge variety of ducks... South Carolina has all of those, just maybe not as much as other parts of the US. We get geese here too, just not usually in big flocks until the winter. Most duck hunters i talk to from other states say they only see wood ducks in 3's and 4's max. Here theres wads of 40+ flying.
The woodie and the mandarin duck, if im correct are related closely. |

Thats like here too (if you know about game/hunting here) we have tons of game animals/birds for such a small country. But I wouldn't trade it for the world.
