Does anyone have or had a Benelli Super Nova ??? And what do you think of them. I'm wondering just cause I won one at a Waterfowl Banquet. And the only guns I have ever used is 870 Rem magnums. Any info would be great???

They are good little (using the term very loosely) guns. I had a standard Nova that I used with good success for a couple of seasons. Sold it to a friend who was looking for one as a gift for his father around Christmas time. I'm more into the classics, but the gun worked flawlessly, and I acctually shot it fairly well.
There is only one thing to be aware of, and if you take even half-way decent care of your guns then it will never be an issue: On the inside of the receiver, there are some metal parts that are molded into the high impact synthetic receiver. You CANNOT remove those parts. So, if you decide to try and be cool and paddle your skiff with your gun (stupid) and get excessive amounts of water behind those parts, and then leave it there....your gun will be RUINED. Of course, if it comes to that...the barrel will probably have rusted off already. I have only seen one case of this neglect...but it is the only thing with regards to neglect that is terminal.

I have one and love it. It is my primary waterfowl gun. The only thing I could see buying a 870 or mossberg 500 oveer it is that there are more extras on the used market for the other two. I wanted to get a rifled barel for slug hunting, the barel was almost as much as another gun. Run a search for a slug barel for a 870, you will undoubtedly find one somewhere, used, cheap and with rings already mounted.
