Is this a female woodduck? I'm new to duck hunting and I haven't studied my species. Thanks for the help guys.

Ummm ok yep sure it is!

cook it up and eat it,, seriously eat it... I gaurantee right after you do,, you will out and get a book on waterfowl identification.


















Hen merganser,, fish duck, lawn dart,, dog wont even eat it!

Not one of your better eating ducks[:'(], but I have tried a few and to my surprise one of them was not too bad. You can hide them in a gumbo. I don't shoot them however. Would much rather put Mallards and Gadwalls in my gumbo. The drake makes a pretty mount though.

I think that since my buddy already cleaned it that he is going to cook it up just to try. Why not. It won't kill me will it? LOL!!!

I have tried them before. They aren't that bad. Most of the time they eat the same stuff other ducks eat.

Ive tried one too...only mine tasted like the bay bottom! We shoot em just for population control...plus if your gonna shoot em, cook them suckers up and feed em to your dog/work buddiesThats always a good1
