I have fallen in love with a Browning 20 guage turkey gun. I haven't bought it yet and was wondering the capabilities of the 20 on geese and ducks. Are there many factory goose loads available?

I used a 20ga w/ #6 Hevi-shot last year and was dropping them inside 30yrds. Also managed to take a longbeard in the spring as well.

If you shoot Hevi #6 or 7.5 shot or Kent T/M #3 to 6 shot you can kill farther than any 12 shooting steel.

How long is the barrel..not that is matters to the birds but it might for the other hunters next to you. I hunt with a guy who uses a 24" turkey gun for goose and duck and you do not want to be nect to him in the pit and have him shoot near your ears.

It has a 22 inch barrel. Anybody going to a local gun shop ask to handle the Browning 20 guage turkey gun. It is in full camoflage and has there dura-touch coating. Just pick it up and aim it. I love it. I think i'll get one pretty soon. It is almost a full pound lighter than my dad's 12 that is the same model. One more thing I like is that the safety is on the receiver instead of down by the trigger.

A 20ga will work fine, just do your part callin and decoy placement. Same power just less pellets.
