I would go with the 870 and modified choke tube and steel shot #2.....that is all i shoot....but I do shoot a 10 gauge.

Go with the 870 express super mag
i have the one in black synthitic and it never fails no matter what happens.
and with the mod choke with winchester HV 3 1/2'' BBs.
really puts them down.

I tried using the full but, it was not putting them down has good.

Jestan, I like a 30" barrel and full choke. The 30" barrel gives me a better sighting plane than the 26" and 28" for leading the bird. To each his own, I quess!
