Well duck season closed here today.:(So I will have to wait until next year to see if I can luck out again.

Oh well at least I can still hunt geese for a while yet. :D

nice, i didnt know they had 100$ reward bands... ur lucky, i got my first peice of jewlery last year. Im in NY and i got a banded goose, it came from Deerfeild NH. I was real excited but i gve it to my huntin partner, hes new huntin, a good caller, and most of all, 1 of my school teachers!;)He earned it, i just have the papers for that band. Please comment back... im intrested where u shot that band and what state it came from.

I also got a double banded mallard in 2003.
used the 100$ to buy more decoys.

Only duck I've shot that was banded was in '98. Shot a drake mallard in Clifton Springs, NY that was banded in Ingleside, NY. That's about 36 miles between them!!

Shot three banded geese here in NY this year. Two were banded just 5 miles east of where we hunted, and the third was banded in Canada just across the 'big pond' called Ontario. Was lucky enough to collect two neckies this year though.

Well I got the band info back and it was banded in Quebec in 2002. So that's quite a ways from here, I guess that old hen had a few miles on her!!!:D
