Default Anyone seeing ducks yet??

I was just wondering if anyone was seeing any teal, duck or geese yet. I have only seen a few teal, but I live in southern Oklahoma, maybe they haven't gotten this far yet. Just curious and was kind of hoping they would move in quicker this year, it was Christmas last year before we started seeing good numbers come in.

The woodrows are getting thicker here but most of the teal have moved out. Very few mallards and only local geese.

I live in west central MN and normally the entire flight or northern ducks is down by this time in the year and I think only about half to 3/4 of them are here. A week ago all smaller water was frozen up and they were sitting on the bigger water now that everything opened back up they'll probably stick around here for a little while yet. Especially with the warmer weather we've been having.

Wait, wait, ready PLUG EM!!!!!

It was a great year here again for geese in Manitoba. I haven`t seen this many ducks either in five years. But it is pretty well over for us now as most of the water is frozen and it has been snowing since last night. I haven`t seen any birds in the last week so I imagine they are on their way south. Good luck with the duck hunting when they do get there, it should`nt be long.

theres quite a few ducks here in north texas. they're not being very responsive to calls or decoys though. big flocks are flying by really high and not even looking at the dekes.

We just had the best open day ever in northeast Oklahoma. There was 3 of us and we had to leave at 9:00 so my friend could make an appointment. We hunted the Cimmarron river and had 15 birds when left and i never shot a teal until about 45 minutes after shooting time started because i was holding out for the bigger birds. The mallards did not start working good until about 8:30 and we ended up with about 7 drakes, since we were short on time we finished with quiet a mixed bag: mallards, widgeon, teal and shovelers. I had 3 friends that hunted across the river from us and they killed their limit of 18 birds however they were mostly teal. We have alot of millet on the river this year so you better pray for cold weather or these birds are going to stay for awhile. I heard that Kaw lake is loaded with mallards and geese. Good luck and safe hunting!!!
