Default When are you goin' out?

29 days until the first hunt of the year for me, and I'm startin to get pumped up.Early goose season opens Sep. 1st, and for the past two years I've been out. It's always been hotter than heck, but what can you do? I've got a new layout blind that I'm dying to try. I should have three or four solid mornings before leaving for an elk hunt in New Mexico. Just wondering wheneveryone elsegets their first crack at some waterfowl?

I will definitely be going out on the first weekend but I’m not sure when that is at this time because I haven’t got the new 2005 hunting guide. I gets pretty hot here too, but that’s how it goes when you want to hunt in September.

Early season snow/blue goose season from Aug15th to Aug31st. Then we have a one week youth season Sept 1st to the 8th(also Sandhills open then) then the regular season starts Sept 8th and runs until Nov 30th. By then no waterfowl in its right mind is here as it is waaay too cold for them.
