1100 barrel...
I'm looking for a barrel for a Rem 1100 12ga. I'd prefer something 30" or longer with screw in choke. This is a turkey shoot gun.

RE: 1100 barrel...
Barrel lenght does not matter with modern powder (the Choke is were the patern comes from)it used to take a long barrel so that all the powder would burn before the shot came out. now i beleive they say all the modern powder is burnt within 16" of the barrel.
I have a Bennelli with a 21" barrel that paterns better than my 1100 with a 34" full trap
Cabella's and Bass Pro bothhave 1100 barrels that are standard any choke or lenght you want or with rem-choke
you also might check in your local gun shop they may have a used one for less

RE: 1100 barrel...
Dale...I've been told that by "experts", but I've seen different with my own eyes.
I'm a turkey shooting nut, and the longer barrels bring home the $$$ week-in and week-out.
The choke is also not the only thing that determines pattern. Forcing cone length work and back-boring can have a huge impact on pattern.
I'd like to have a longer barrel, either way.

You are correct about resizing the cone and back boring they too can impact the pattern and reduce recoil. ballistic specialties does a great job and will send you new chokes and back bore as well. some loads pattern different than others.
My father an engineer atIBM reloaded shells he also shot in the skeet leage. he enjoyed greatsuccess and shot 500 straight in all gauges several years while competing.
He had specific powder, wad. primer.shot combinations for all gauges to patern the way he wanted for skeet, trap, and hunting
I want give them all away but here is what works great in 12
AA Shot Shell, Federal Primer,AA wadsAA 540 powder 215/16 drams (not made anymore) 1 1/8 #9s in a skeet barrel. (skeet, first season doves, quail)
Peters Blue Majic shell, CCI primer, AA red wads, 3 3/4 drams Red Dot powder, 1 1/4 of #6 worked well as aduck load in the 34" full trap #8 for long range trap shooting.
try different loads with modern heavy shot a traditional lead see what the difference is. but most important see where the gun shoots
