Default Wanting a good dig cam

Wanting to apply for the Cambells Outdoor Challange and looking for a camera, new or used, doesn't matter any leads? I get B&H Photo cataloge, but 2500.00? whew, makes my head spin.

Expect to pay at least that or more for a good prosumer cam with all the acces. even if you go used you will be looking at close to $2500 or more.

lol exactly, ive got over 5000 invested in mine with all the accesories[:@]but it works great!

Ive got a Canon XL1S Pro Dig camerawith about 75 hrs on heads, Porta-brace camera bag, dual mic wireless audio system, professional camera arm, camera rain cover, 7"LCD screen, batteries, 2 camera remotes, complete package ready to go. are you lookin to do pro video or just really good home video? If you're lookin for awesome home video, Look into getting an affordable tree arm, something like the hunter cam cradle or muddy and buy a canon hv30 or sony hc9. These cameras are freakin awesome. Get the sony and add a lanc zoom controller and you'll have manual zoom and focus control at your thumb. These are 1080 HD cams and take great video, stabilize it and use manual focus and you'll be hard pressed to tell the difference in most of the socalled pro video. Add some aftermarket mics and you'll have a heck of a setup for under $1500

Ive always used Sony Hi-8 cameras...and they are not bad for an amateur. I just purchased a 30Gb Sony Hard drive camera to try out for this year.
