Post production editing is going to be your biggest obstical. Also, it's tough to put good stories together without having a ton of footage to tell the story. That's is the difficult part about taking a bunch of random footage and trying to mix it. I have watched a TON of footage. Very little of it is good. Consider our last 2 hour video started with about 300 hours of unedited footage.

For editing, your best bet is to find someone who is eitherlearning and/or willingto help out for little or no money. You could also offer the editor a percentage of long-term sales as a means of compensation.

Next big hurdle, who is planning on selling/ marketing this for you? Have you guys contacted the new owners of Huntingnet to see if they would allow you to sell them somewhere on the site?

I would consider retailing it for you guys online if you can get it put together. I wish I could offer my services, but putting 1 DVD together each year nearly kills me - so I have no interest in taking on another.

Good luck - and remember it is supposed to be fun!

Ignore the barriers that will keep you from making this happen...nock down the barriers and move forward.....

I'm on your team...I'm on the front with you...lets move forward..

I can do some editing too. Plus I know a couple of us have our own websites that we can use for selling finished DVD's.
I think the best approach would be to divide up individual hunts. Guy "A" can edit someones antelope hunt to a finished ________long hunt. I can edit a whitetail hunt that's ______long. Michigan Whitetails can edit another hunt, etc. Once we get 10-12 hunts together (with enough people we may only need to edit 2-3 hunts each) we can put them on-line some where, either one of our personal sites or youtube or veoh and vote for the top 6-8 hunts that will go on the DVD. Any remaining hunts can go on "Season 2".

I am up for it as long as I still have the rights to the footage. My cousin edits and uses the videos we take to make his own DVD.

My name is Trent Miller and I hunt in Central Oklahoma. Here is a bow turkey hunt fromthe spring2007that he edited and put together. If this thing really happens I will be more than happy to donate "edited" footage.

Hey Guys,

We could partner up with Warrior Outdoors? Then we just worry about distribution.
