Youput the remote lanc on your handel of your tree arm and you never have to touch the camera to start record or zoom soyour footage will be steadier and it is whole lot easier to run rather than reaching for the red button on the camera and then the zoom.. Walt

Could you recommend a remote lanc to me? I have a DVX-100B camcorder and I'll be filming deer hunts this coming fall.

Thanks
Mike

For the DVX100 an Lanc controller is kind of a waste, the only functions you can control with it are rec. start/stop and zoom...........you still have to get your hands on the camera to adjust the focus, while some may say you can simply adjust your focus to an infinite point and zoom back, I find I get much sharper footage if I am constantly working the focus ring as I zoom in or out. I do not use a remote controller for my DVX, maybe my footage would improve if I did, but i doubt it.
