Check out Sony Vegas pro.........................I am using Pinnacle now, but not for long..........Sony has more to offer in the way of titles and motion graphics.

Kick ass PC.

If you are at all familiar with any of the Adobe Apps, the transition into Premiere will be fairly easy. This is even more true with CS3 (Hunsucker, are you using CS3?).

It used to be you could download a trial version of Premiere and After Affects from Adobe. Not sure if you still can, but it would be worth a look at the Adobe web site.
For me it's a Mac and Final Cut. I just replaced my 8 year old G4 last fall (that still runs FCP) with a new Mac Intel machine with FCS2.

Why aren't more of you guys using Mac?

Not even sure what that is! :D

I use Adobe as well. Like you mentioned, I like the fact that you can transition so easily between the different Adobe Programs, with the same content. Use Premiere to capture and edit the video, Photoshop to edit pictures/graphics, Soundbooth to enhance the audio, After Effects to for video effects, and Encore for DVD menus... Of course there are many other programs that Adobe offers to use, but those the main ones that I've worked with.

I'm not saying Adobe is the very best choice out there, but I think it's a good mid-ranged editing line, that is fairly easy to work with.

Because Mac isn't the end all be all:D Jk, I wanted to stir the pot a bit.[8D] Actually I've taught video production, my brother has a video-production business, and I've worked with both premiere and FCP. Both suites in capable hands are equal. I've found the learning curve for high school students is less steep with FC than premiere, but then again, most guys on here (and most PC users in general) don't have Mac's at home. My next video/photo editing machine will be a built by me, though.
