What's the best way to mount a Sennhesier G2 100 on a Sony PD170...does therecevier come with a bracket? I also wondered about 518-554MHz vs. the ones that are 700 MHz...does it make a difference? I can't imagine there's much interference where I normally hunt, but maybe one is better than the other for our suburban hunts?

The MHZ won't make a difference. To mount the receiver on the camera... it does come with a mount where you can mount it on the hot shoe of the camera, or you can buy an aftermarket bracket and mount it several different ways, there is a bracket that mounts on the bottom of the camera and comes up in a 90 behind your hand grip, and the receiver mounts on it vertically, or you can buy a split mount that goes in your hot shoe and you can mount your receiver there and also have an additional mount for your shotgun mic if necessary. Plenty of options out there! ;) Also, get you a pair of headphones to plug into the camera and it will help you with mixing the sound.

I have been resaerching mics and you should at least get 15 hours, is my guess. Has anyone been using the Sony 999 models???
I tried the sony wcs-999 don't waste your money, they work ok but they tend to cut out a lot. Put the $100 towards a set of sennheisers
