How are those Azden's on batteries? A buddy of mine had been using a wireless mic setup (not sure which one) that used 9 volts and he said he would go through 2 in a day.

I have been resaerching mics and you should at least get 15 hours, is my guess. Has anyone been using the Sony 999 models???

Just curious if you get alot of interference with the VHF set up? I have been considering the Azden UHF system as it rotates frequencies and should never have an interference issue. But if i could save alittle $$$ on the VHF system I would , just alittle skeptical of a wireless setup that uses limited frequency.

Hello,
I am new on this forum, but we've been filming for several seasons now, and I have been using the Senneheiser wireless mics, they are the best! EW112 G2 wireless system, we do alot of field hunting for geese, and use the omni directional lavalier mic, it is great, very sensitive and can pick up the conversation in the blinds from about 30 ft. out. They are UHF and auto frequency, so never any issues with static, and a very long reception range if necessary also.

Weird..I run 9 volt in my Azdens for 12 hours when I cut wedding vids...no issues...

Hoosier! Sounds great...I have not used Senn's because of the $$$ but I bet I would love them....I use a Azden 189.95 dollar setup from B&H and it works for in the stand footage and normal interviews....I did notice my buddy at 6 feet did not come in very strong in my last vid..I wonder if a 400 dollar mic. is what I need to fix this...

Steven - For sure....The Azden works great....I just tuck the transmitter in my inside pocket and clip the mic on my collar area of the jacket...
