Default Sony DVD108?

Have been wanting to get into filming my hunts for a while. Surprised at how hard it is to find people that know much about Camcorders. All the people that I know that have one cant give good feedback on what and why to buy. SO this is what I am looking at right now. I am not looking for something top of the line, but want to be able to put Videos on the net and watch on TV that looks OK. Does anyone have any feed back on this camera? About the only consensus I can find is Sony has better low light then most. Any help on this is much appreciated. Thanks Guys!

How do you then play your Mini DV? You still in the end have to transfer to a DVD or a Mini DVD in the end right? DVD is what I would like to end up with and I really do not want the little tapes.

There's really nothing special about the camera.
We play the mini dv tapes either back to the computer hard drive for editing or we can view it with video\audio outputs to a monitor, projector, multiple computers.......and we still have the tape as a master as you would have your direct to disc as a master.
Your choice of camera----if thats what you like ......get it.

My wife and I had a son in April and we bought the same one. I'm sure it will be in the woods with me this fall too. It works great so far. I haven't had it out in the cold yet.Our old camcorderbatteries really don't likethe cold. Usually all it takes is keepingthe camerain your hand to keep it warm. Or keep the battery in your pocket and snap it in when you need it.I've always like Sony products and their customer service. My digital camera, TV, home theatre, VCR, DVD player, and truck stereo are all Sony. My wife dropped our digital camer last year and broke the lens. It was stillunder the 1 yr. warranty. We sent it in, it came back fixed in 2 weeks, no questions asked. Fixed.
