Either a Benelli Montefeltro or Franchi AL48. Both are light, thin, and have great balance. They are very quick guns that are upland specialists.

I have tryed several lite auto's and O/U's great to carrey but could not hit anything with them. I found even after lots of practice I could not swing them smoothly enough , to hit regularly.
I feel it is a waste to carrey a lite gun and not hit anything with it.
I gave up and setteled on a 26" 11-87SP and a 30" SKB water fowler, both are about the same weight and length.
I shoot both very well .
IMO a lite gun may hinder you in hiting birds

I use a Winchester 1400 when I use a automatic. But I don't much care for them like Bigfoot I'd much rather have a pump.

Deer Slayer :

Hate to tell you this, but the 1300 is a pump gun . I suggest you look at your gun again and perhaps you have an experimental model, that could be worth a fortune if it was mis-stamped !!!

Just kidding guy - i think i know what you meant .

I use a remington 1100 upland special...20 gauge...has been great gun...killled many pheasants and quail with it...i don't think it has every jammed.

I did mean the 1400. I also have the 1300 pump, that may be the reason I said 1300.
