I also live in clinton county ( eastern iowa) I have not been hunting much i have only been out 9 times shot 23 roosters. It helps when you have land that the owners lets about 100 pheasants go every year befor season.

To Deer-hunter & kill it n grill it. I live in Scott County. I do a lot of hunting in Clinton and Jackson Counties. I have absolutely pounded the pheasants in those two countines and I know their are a lot more pheasant's to be found out there.

Deer hunter, it sounds as though you have had excellent luck hunting in Clinton County.

Recently I have been hunting in Jones County. The last two outings have resulted in 13 roosters and seeing many more than that.

It has helped that my two pointers have been absolutely wonderful again this year. They are 5 years old and are just getting better every year.
