You didn't say where you were at in Colorado. I am in Colorado Springs. I am not a big water fowl hunter. I have 2 German Shorthairs, so you know where my hunting is.

I live in Parker and upland hunt as much as possible. I run hunting trials from Sept. to Nationals in april about twice a month. I hit the preserves at least once a month from Sept. to Nov. when wild bird season opens. Usually hunt grouse and chucker in Utah every Sept., I go to South dakota every year at the end of Oct. and will go twice this year. I usually hunt the wild birds in Eastern Colorado 2 to 3 long weekends a month until the season ends, I had some good private land last year that really saved the day a few times that I hope to get permission again to this year. I will go waterfowl hunting maybe 2 or 3 times a year when I can fit it in between everything else. I have a 4 year old male yellow lab, a 3 year old female yellow lab, and a 4 month old black lab that is coming along nicely. I am not from here and am just living and working here for another year or two until I get transfered to another job, that is the worst part, it took me 2 years here to get to know my way around, and then I will have to start all over again somewhere else. Anyway always looking for someone who enjoys spending the day chasing ringnecks and watching dogs work as much as I do.
