Default IL dove hunting

When is best to mow sunflowers? Obviously when they are dried out. However how many weeks before Sept 1 does everyone prefer?

I would go by 5 to 7 days before the season opened and I would leave a few rows standing to allow the birds to find the seeds.

A little late to reply. Check regulations. I believe you are supposed to mow 10 days or more prior to hunting.
