Default Sharptails

I was out deer/pheasant hunting on the weekend, I haven' t seen a sharptail grouse in about 20 years. Well, I shot 2 out of a tree with my .22 mag and saw a flock of about 50 along a back road. Anyone else seeing a resurgence of sharpies this year? The pheasant population is doing remarkably well up here this year too. How are the birds in your neck of the woods? JDinAB

And shooting out of a tree with a 22 is legal there ? Not very sporting I would think.

yup it' s legal here...just not on waterfowl. If I can get it at 100yds. I' d call it sporting. No different than shooting any other critter with a rifle. To each his own.
