The season is upon us
I' m heading back to Iowa for opening weekend for pheasants this Saturday. The I-DNR says that bird counts are up 46% from two years ago.
I' ll be out in the SE part of the state. I' m hoping for a great season.
Does anyone out there have any first hand sightings?

pelwood - I don' t have any experience in Iowa, but Washington, Oregon and Idaho are covered up in birds this year. Huge populations of huns, chukar, quail and pheasants. I' ve already managed to bother quite a few...
