Default Hunting Traditions (Styles)

Hello, thank you for reading, this is my first post. I am interested in hearing about everyones hunting traditions or hunting styles which ever you choose. This is for upland bird hunting; different countries, different areas of the country and different people hunt birds many different ways.

For example traditional pheasant hunts in Europe are called "DRIVES", the hunters stand in a line at the bottom of a hill, release dogs which sweep up the hill flushing pheasants that then blast down the hill over the heads of the hunters, while they blast as many as they can their partner reloads the shells for the shooter (two guns are normally used per couple). There are also other "GAMES" that people play, one in which there are five boxes containing a select amount of birds (pigeons or doves), one box opens at a time and you have to shoot the birds in a specific area for points.

As far as Im concerned, hunting has been around forever and that means theres thousands of ways of doing things, so im real interested in hearing what everyone has been taught, learned on their own or picked up along the way. Though this is a pretty open ended question, lets try to stick with BIRDS of course and the different "GAMES", traditions, technique and style in which you hunt.

Thanks, cant wait to read all your input.
