Default Finally got some doves

I posted a couple times at the beggining of dove season, as this was my 1st season hunting dove. I went out at the begginig of the season with no luck, but a couple weeks ago I went with my hunting partner and we killed 6 and shot about a dozen. It was rewarding to finally see some results from all the work and preparation I put into this (skeet shooting and lots of scouting in the HOT August sun). Just thought I'd would share this with everybody.

I think dove hunting is real good practice for other hunting. I would strongly recommend you getting a dove Mojo. They work really good.

A mojo dove is a spinning wing decoy. The spin is powered by wind or a battery. I use my mojo dove next to my mojo duck when hunting waterfowl.

Doves will come in to land right next to your mojo

Exactly, They work AWESOME, their are some out there that have like one wing looking thing sticking straight up, doesnt quite do the trick. There is also wind aided mojos, where the wind turns the wings. Same thing, doesn't quite do the trick. The mojo that is battery operated is where it is at. Its like a little dove magnet, sucks them right in.
