I agree with #6's....good all-purpose load for the quarry you mentioned. I've hunted with guys in northern WI that will drop to 7's and target loads for grouse, but I like a little substance to my shots...especially in the woods.

Jumping threads here, but I have a killer recipe for grouse breast that's marinated in 1/3rd amounts of dark beer, BBQ sauce, and teriyaki or soy sauce overnight. Then wrap eachin bacon, and grilled 'til the meats done and the bacon is crispy.Another reason to look forward to fall.

Yup grouse taste good, especially black grouse! No shortage of them here.
