Default Kno Knife Bird Cleaning Method

I posted a video on youtube. Of me cleaning a pheasant where I dont have to use a knife to clean it. And it is also alot faster than convential cleaning. Let me know what you think any improvments I can make on the video.

It looks like your working awfully hard there. I don't know if it would work for pheasants but for grouse and woodcock...lay bird on it's back, stand on wings, grab legs and pull. you get the same breast w/ wing attached result.

It's sucha quick and easy method, I don't half mind doing my buddy's birds too. Half a dozen done in 2 minutes. It's almost like they were designed for easy "disassembly"

Can you explain if there's more to it than standing on the wings and pulling, or is it really that simple?

Ya it really is that easy.

Just put the bird on its back. Spread the wings. Step near the breast on the wings. Grab legs. Pull legs untill bird is almost apart but dont pull all the way apart. Grab bird off the ground. Break skin near the crop. Pull the crop towards the groundand now you have a gutted bird.

I found that if you wait until the bird stiffens up it doesn't work nearly as good.

4feathers,
You are right on that. Don't wait till the end of the day to do your days birds. And if the bird is shot up too much, you might have to get a little dirty.
